another bamboo project

due to leftover bamboo harvested by my kuya for the chicken/turkey coop,
i asked the husband to make me a bamboo wind chime.
i found a design i liked on the internet and we made a similar one.
we chose the smaller shoots of bamboo, the younger ones for the tubes.
he cut the bamboo after each node, about a foot in length.
for the two horizontal frames, we chose bigger mature bamboos cut approximately 2 feet and 1½ feet wide.
the ends of the tubes were shaped and drilled to make small holes for the fishing wire.
the bamboos were scraped off the green surface and assembled.
he painted it with clear/natural varnish.
it is now ready to be placed in front of our bedroom window.
i plan to put some seashells below each tube once i can get hold of some.
a friend of mine promised that she we would bring me some
when she gets back here from their island.
hope you enjoyed our bamboo chime (^_^)
